MOVEMENT BUILDERS

Founded in 1983, Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL) is a unique nonprofit that combines traditional legal aid services and civil rights advocacy. With offices in Los Angeles, Orange County and Sacramento, we are the largest civil rights and legal aid organization in the country that serves, empowers and advocates on behalf of the Asian American, Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. AJSOCAL is part of a national affiliation comprised of four other leading civil rights organizations based in Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

As a past donor, you played a key role in supporting the fight for civil rights for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI). Today, we want to invite you to become an inaugural member of an exciting new group named Movement Builders.

As a Movement Builder, you will join a diverse group of people working to create a more equitable and harmonious society by harnessing and strengthening the ever-growing voices of AANHPI’s in our communities while supporting the financial sustainability of the organization.

WHY SUPPORT AJSOCAL

You know well that AANHPIs have long been leaders, community trailblazers, and change makers in Southern California. With over 50 ethnicities and over 100 languages and dialects, our rich history intertwines with efforts for racial justice, immigration, and civil liberties. Today, AANHPI are 7.2% of the US population, 15.3% of the electorate in California, and the fastest growing ethnic population in the US. This breadth of resilience informs the way we continue to fight for access and equity. For over 39 years, AJSoCal has been serving the AANHPI communities through direct legal services and civil rights advocacy. With offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Sacramento, AJSOCAL is the largest civil rights and legal aid organization in the country.

BECOME A MOVEMENT BUILDER

As a Movement Builder, you will receive special invitations to exclusive events, swag, and have opportunities to participate in public advocacy and activism and volunteer projects. You will receive updates about issues and events impacting social justice in our local community and nationally. Your membership will also include access to a private social media group hosted and led by the organization. Most important of all, your regular support will continue to make our work possible.
