For the past 2 decades, AJSOCAL’s Orange County Regional Office has provided free legal services with outreach to our valued, insular AAPI populations within our county. Currently, our team of Attorneys and Community Advocates can assist our clientele in multiple Asian languages, and specialize in: immigration & citizenship, housing rights, domestic violence representation, voter protection, and pursues lawsuits involving Anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination claims. Our services are open to individuals of all races and ethnicities, without restriction.
The staff in Orange County is an active part of the AAPI community which is approximately 26% of its total population. AJSOCAL serves some of the most vulnerable low-income, limited-English speakers in Orange County—among them are undocumented immigrants, domestic violence survivors, those facing housing insecurity, and victims of race-based violence—and everyone in need.
With the support of key community partners, corporations, law firms, bar associations based in Orange County, AJSOCAL continues to support a coalition of diverse AAPI community leaders, organizers and advocates to fights for racial and economic justice.
We assist the community with:
- Immigration: We provide free counsel and assistance to those who are undocumented and seeking lawful permanent residence.
- Citizenship: We offer free counsel and individual representation to U.S. permanent residents seeking to naturalize.
- Housing Rights/ Home Preservation: We offer free counsel, advice, and in certain cases, full representation for tenants facing eviction, landlord/tenant disputes, habitability claims, security deposits, and related matters.
- Domestic Violence Survivor Representation: We prioritize the protection of household derived violence in both immigration VAWA matters, and family law cases which include restraining orders, dissolution, custody, and related matters.
- Voting Protection & Engagement: . We collaborate with community organizations to mobilize thousands of voters across Southern California and help monitor polling sites to ensure compliance with laws requiring language assistance—especially for voters who speak Asian and Pacific Islander (API) languages.
- Anti-Asian Hate: We will respond, counsel, and protect victims of Anti-Asian hate in the many forms it is displayed, leveraging our seasoned litigation expertise and capable case navigators .
